Yasmine was born with cerebral palsy on March 22nd 1994, in London UK. After growing up with a finger in every proverbial creative pot (including music, theatre, drawing and writing), she finally picked up a paintbrush in 2011 and hasn't looked back since.

Through the female portrait and nature she explores personal themes such as love, grief, acceptance, growth, anxiety, mortality, sexuality and spirituality to create an intimate body of work filled with symbolism. Having an open minded approach to painting she's comfortable with graphite, charcoal, ink, watercolour, acrylic, oil and incorporating combinations to push the boundaries of her mediums. A contradictory mix of surrealism, realism and abstract; her work tends to fall somewhere between pop-surrealism and escapism, creating dreamlike windows into her mind.

Constantly experimenting and evolving her technique, she paints at home with music turned up to full volume, occasionally taking a break to give her cat and moths some attention.
